Unlike center console boats powered by outboards or stern drives, the inboard design of the 26 CC gives fisherman use of the stern again.
The Volvo-Penta diesel inboard puts out 350 horsepower and is located mid-ship under the center console. It uses a jack shaft to attach to the stern drive.
The obstruction-free transom and heavy strength Tuna door make landing a big catch that much more convenient.
Another advantage of the 26 CC's inboard drive system is weight distribution. By having the powertrain mounted closer to the boats longitudinal center, and lower in the hull (compared to outboard engines), the 26 CC exhibits excellent sea keeping, handling and stiffness.
The cockpit is laid out with Albin's attention to space and ergonomics. With a maximum beam of 8' 6", the Albin 26' Center Console is easily towed by any properly equipped light-duty truck, van or SUV.
The deep vee hull and 24-degree deadrise at the transom along with the engine weight at the center line makes this a solid platform in a big sea.
The twin 80 gallon fuel tanks are mounted outboard of the centerline and aft both helping lower the center of gravity.

Albin opted against a two-part tuna door. The deck cap at the transom remains intact over the door to maintain hull stiffness and strength.
The helm has a full array of electronics including Furuno auto Navpilot, Furuno Navnet radar and VHF.
The cockpit foredeck is loaded with fish boxes and storage. The livewell is just behind the helm seat.
There are 4 rocket launchers mounted on the hardtop along with the 2 outriggers.
